Today is the end of an era. My last day of maternity leave. I was able to keep all 3 kids home with me, and it has most definitely been the best time of my life. I realized in watching Eva, Carter and Lucas together that the bonding between them was as important and sweet as the bonding between me and my baby. Lucas has been such a gift to our entire family. He is an incredibly happy and uplifting addition ... we're perfectly complete as a Savstrom Family.
I feel a mother's instinct to make sure that my baby has a good start in life. That he's plump and healthy enough to go out into the (germy daycare) world. I took a good, long look at Lucas before bath time this evening. I think that box is safely checked.
